A house fire in Queens has claimed the life of a third person, and FDNY officials now say the raging flames were sparked by a discarded cigarette.

The blaze broke out late Monday on the second floor of a two-story brick home on Ithaca St. near Whitney Ave. in Elmhurst.

Officials found no working smoke alarms inside the house.

Police have so far identified two of the victims as homeowner Martin Devereux, 71, and Craig Lott, 53. The identity of the third victim was not released.
