NY 1 – April 14, 2017

by NY 1 News

An investigation is underway after a fire broke out on the roof of a Brooklyn synagogue early Thursday morning.

The FDNY says the call came over just after midnight about the fire at Congregation Kneses Israel of Sea Gate on Nautilus Ave.

Flames were under control around an hour and a half later.

One person suffered minor injuries.

Investigators said that, so far, the fire does not appear suspicious, and may have been related to electrical problems.

A rabbi at the synagogue says Passover services are being relocated.
