Fund for Slain EMT Yadira Arroyo’s Children Continues to Rise after She is Laid to Rest

The day after slain EMT Yadira Arroyo was laid to rest, Daily News readers continued to contribute to a fund setup to assist her five children.

Rich Russo, from Maspeth, Queens, offered to match donations made by his Facebook friends. “This is a story that really touched me when it happened,” Russo said. The total donation rose to $87,526 in the fund that will send money directly to the family via the FDNY Foundation.

Donors can send payments electronically to Daily News Charities, account number 9387-575-837, routing number 021-000-322.

The charity also has a PayPal account at nydn.us/ArroyoFund.
