Firefighters Hurt In 4-Alarm Staten Island Fire

NEW YORK (CBSNewYork) — The FDNY battled a 4-alarm fire in a Staten Island late Saturday morning.

Officials say the blaze started in a storage facility at 3026 Veterans Rd. West and was placed under control at 12:15 p.m.

Eight firefighters were taken to local hospitals with injuries that are believed to be minor, according to authorities

The cause of the fire is under investigation.
