A blaze on the 12th floor balcony of a 14-story high-rise in Briarwood was quickly handled by firefighters Thursday, an FDNY spokesman said.

The call came in at 1:36 p.m. and the fire was contained to the balcony, but 78 firefighters were on the scene at 150-38 Union Turnpike to make sure the situation was under control, according to the FDNY.

No one was injured, the Fire Department spokesman said, and the cause was still under investigation.
