FDNY chief to talk about 9/11 at Weber Center

 FDNY Battalion Chief Richard Picciotto

Picciotto was one of the many firefighters who answered the call that September morning. Soon after arriving at the World Trade Center buildings, he found himself trapped under the rubble of the North Tower with his crew for four hours until their calls were heard by other firefighters. He was virtually unharmed and didn’t realize until then that they had survived the complete collapse of the North Tower.

“We all remember where we were on that day, and it’s such an honor for all of us here at Coulee Bank to be able to share Chief Picciotto’s story with our community,” said Mike Gargaro, market president and CFO for Coulee Bank, which is sponsoring the speech.

Tickets for the talk, which starts at noon, are free, but people must get them in advance at the Weber Center box office or online at www.webercenterfortheperformingarts.org.
