Two people were injured by a fast-moving fire that ripped through a Brooklyn apartment building Saturday, officials said.

Blistering flames erupted through the aluminum-sided facade of the building on 12th St. near Fourth Ave. in Park Slope soon after fire broke out about 12:50 p.m.

The fire began in a third-floor apartment but quickly began to consume the entire building, witnesses said.

More than 100 firefighters were called in to douse the massive blaze, officials said. Firefighters with hoses climbed onto a first-floor backyard extension to get closer to the fire.

By 2 p.m., the flames were mostly knocked down but firefighters were still checking for small pockets of fire.

One firefighter and one resident were taken to New York Methodist Hospital with minor injuries, officials said.
