A firefighter brought the heat and won a cook-off between the NYPD and FDNY on Sunday afternoon.

Khalid Brown from Ladder 14 in Harlem won the Battle of the Badges cooking competition outside Resorts World Casino in Queens with his Tennessee apple-smoked ribs with a side of apple slaw.

“It’s popular with the station,” said Brown, who came with his son and family.

“Our ladder was donated from Tennessee, and I wanted to show respect to them,” he said.

Brown won a trip to Resorts World Casino in the Bahamas.

About 200 people came out to see the competition that was judged by Queens Borough President Melinda Katz, among others.

Richard Henderson from the NYPD bomb squad came in second for his chicken scarpariello and highway patrolman Ed Behringer took third place for his Cajun-spiced red snapper and escarole.
