7 Injured as Fire Rips Through NYC Home

Two firefighters and five others were injured early Tuesday when a blaze ripped through a Queens home, authorities said.

The fire erupted at 3:17 a.m. on the first floor of the two-story private house at 105th Street and 101st Avenue in Ozone Park, according to officials.

The blaze reached a second alarm at about 3:25 a.m.

Five people were sent to North Shore University Hospital with minor injuries, authorities said.

Two firefighters were also injured but only one of them sought treatment, according to officials.

The fire was declared under control at about 4:30 a.m. but the cause of the blaze wasn’t immediately known.
