Firefighters Put Down All-Hands Dongan Hills Blaze

STATEN ISLAND, N.Y. — Firefighters made quick work of an all-hands fire at a Dongan Hills home Sunday afternoon.

The blaze, which started around 3:35 p.m. in the rear of a two-story home on Garretson Avenue, was extinguished and under control in about 20 minutes, an FDNY spokesman said.

No injuries were reported, he said.
