An erotic writer who co-owned a Brooklyn bar died early Wednesday when a fire ripped through her East Village apartment, officials said.

Evelyn Dahab, 33, was found dead in her bed when firefighters arrived at her basement-level home on E. 1st St. near Second Ave. shortly after 3 a.m., authorities said.

An overloaded power strip sparked the blaze, FDNY officials said Wednesday evening.

Originally from Long Island, the Barnard College graduate and avid traveler wrote the 2011 erotic memoir “Incapacitated.”The woman’s body is removed from the building on E. 1st St. Wednesday morning. Police and fire marshals investigate the basement apartment where the fire took place.

The book is described as “a young woman’s degradation into the dark underbelly of a world ruled by sex, power, money, and control,” according to Amazon.com.

Dahab was also a co-owner of Lucey’s Lounge, on Third Ave. in Gowanus, her parents said. She also appeared on a few episodes of the soap opera “ Guiding Light.”

“She was a bright girl,” said her father, Richard Dahab. “She was bigger than life, and too young to die.” The fire was confined to Dahab’s apartment in the five-story walk-up, and roared for about a half-hour until firefighters brought it under control, authorities said.
