A man is dead after a raging fire tore through a Queens home late Tuesday, firefighters say.
The FDNY rushed to a two-story home on 114th Street in Richmond Hill around 10 p.m. There they began dousing flames and removed the man from inside, officials said.
The man was pronounced dead at the scene, the FDNY said.
The fire broke out in a vacant home and was under control in under an hour.
The identity of the man who died has not been released. There was no immediate word as to what may have sparked the blaze.
A medical examiner will determine the exact cause of death.
