Seven Injured in Brooklyn Fire

NY 1 – January 12, 2015

Seven people were injured in a two-alarm fire in Brooklyn Sunday—including an infant and four firefighters.

FDNY officials say they were called to this Eastern Parkway building around 11:30 this morning.

They say there was heavy fire on the second and third floors of the building.

Despite initial reports that people were trapped inside, officials say everyone got out.

“The amount of fire in a small space, small building and trying to get the manpower inside the actually get to the fire, the seed of the fire and put it out presents a difficulty that we face every day,” said FDNY Chief Steve Campanella.

The cause of the fire remains under investigation
