STATEN ISLAND (PIX11)– One of New York’s bravest needs our help. Unfortunately, he is another casualty of 9/11.
Firefighter Greg Checalley, a 16-year-old veteran of the FDNY, has been diagnosed with a rare form of Stag 4 lung cancer.
Greg’s work at the World Trade Center after the terrorist attacks of September 11th has been determined to be the cause of his illness.
There will be an event on Thursday at 6:30 p.m. at Mulcahy’s to raise money for him and his family.
It is located on 3232 Railroad Avenue in Wantagh, NY.
$60 includes open bar and buffet food.
