A huge steam explosion prompted a three-alarm FDNY response at 141 Fifth Avenue near 21st Street in the Flatiron District of Manhattan on Thursday morning. No injuries were reported, but at least 11 buildings were evacuated and people were asked to avoid the area as a precaution, according to social media posts by the FDNY and Con Edison.
