WILLIAMSBURG, BROOKLYN — Trendy Williamsburg bar and restaurant The Commodore on Metropolitan at Havemeyer was damaged in an all-hands-on-deck fire late Tuesday afternoon, according to the FDNY. The fire was under control by 4:21 p.m., and there were no injuries reported, an FDNY spokesman said.
A witness at the scene told Patch that the deep fryer started the fire. However, fire officials could not immediately confirm this information.
