STATEN ISLAND, N.Y. — The FDNY fought a fire where one person was injured at a mobile home park near the Goethals Bridge on Wednesday morning.

One person who suffered minor injuries was transported to Richmond University Medical Center in West Brighton from the fire in Mariners Harbor, according to a spokesman for the FDNY/EMS.

A neighbor described the victim as a woman in her 70s who lived in the mobile home. She was turning on the stove when it somehow caught fire, the neighbor said.

About 12 units and 60 firefighters responded to the “all-hands” fire that burned for less than a half-hour in the park in the 2700 block of Goethals Road North, according to a spokesman for the FDNY/EMS.

The spokesman described the blaze as a small kitchen fire that was called at 7:50 a.m.

A burned stove was ripped out by firefighters and placed outside the home, according to a neighbor.

The fire was in a 10-by-20-foot trailer, according to NYCFireWire.

The blaze was brought under control at 8:15 a.m., according to the spokesman.
