FDNY EMT killed by hit-and-run driver while riding his motorcycle laid to rest

    Scores of mourners turned out in Brooklyn Tuesday morning to say a final farewell to FDNY EMT Kevin Liang, who was killed by a hit-and-run driver as he rode his motorcycle across the Kosciuszko Bridge.Liang’s 27th birthday was just two days before he was struck by a black Lexus on the new span about 7:50 a.m. Sept. 30.

    The car was changing lanes when it struck Liang’s motorcycle. Liang lost control and was thrown onto the asphalt. He died at Woodhull Hospital.

    Relatives said Liang was about to enter the FDNY academy to fulfill his lifelong dream of becoming a firefighter.
