Firefighter Hurt Battling 2-Alarm Blaze In Washington Heights

WASHINGTON HEIGHTS, NY — A firefighter was hurt Thursday night while operating on the scene of a two-alarm fire in a Washington Heights apartment building, an FDNY spokesman said.

Firefighters responded to 601 West 180th Street, located near the corner of St. Nicholas Avenue, shortly before 9:30 a.m. to battle a blaze on the six-story building’s third floor, an FDNY spokesman said.
