One Millionth Message Left on 9/11 Memorial Museum’s Signing Steel

The 1 millionth Signing Steel signature, left by a visitor from Ireland.

More than one million people have left messages on the Signing Steel in the 9/11 Memorial Museum.

The curved piece of World Trade Center steel, which was recovered from Ground Zero, found its home in Foundation Hall in the 9/11 Memorial Museum. The column once stood in the core of the South Tower, and is estimated to have probably aided to support the 30th to 33rd floors.
