The FDNY says 12 people were hurt after a fire in a high-rise building in East Harlem on Sunday morning.

Fire officials said the call came in just after 6:30 a.m. for a fire on the 29th floor of a 35-story building at 1295 Fifth Avenue.

It took firefighters a little more than an hour to put the fire out.

The FDNY said a total of 13 people were evaluated for injuries at the scene, but one person refused medical attention.

The FDNY said there may not have been smoke alarms where the fire started.
