FDNY investigates deadly Far Rockaway fire

Firefighters are still on the scene of a house fire in Queens this morning that left two people dead.

The call came in just after 4 a.m.

Fire officials say the flames started on the first floor before spreading to the second floor of the house located at 14-80 Wheatley Street in Far Rockaway.

The two female victims were taken to St. John’s hospital where they were pronounced dead.
