One person was seriously hurt due after an unattended candle sparked an early-morning fire at a nail salon in the Bronx on Sunday, according to the city fire department.

The two-alarm fire started around 3:12 a.m. on the first floor of the two-story building on Castle Hill Ave. near Westchester Ave. in Parkchester.

The victim was transported to Jacobi Medical Center.

The city fire department said the accidental fire was brought under control around 5:15 a.m.

A man who lived on the building’s second floor — where he said the salon’s owner had rented out some rooms — said he lost everything in the fire. The man said the owner did not install smoke alarms on the second floor.
