MANHATTAN — A construction worker fell more then two dozen floors to his death in lower Manhattan Thursday morning, according to the FDNY.

Emergency crews were called at about 9:20 a.m. to Maiden Lane near South Street about an injured male, police said.

A construction worker was laying concrete on the 29th floor when he fell, landing on the second floor, police said. The city’s Department of Buildings said his harness was on but not clipped in. He was pronounced dead at the scene.
