FDNY battalion honors firefighters who died in Sept. 11 terror attacks


BROOKLYN –
An FDNY battalion honored firefighters who lost their lives in the Sept. 11 terror attacks.

The FDNY lost 343 firefighters on 9/11 and many more from related illnesses over the years.

Even though it’s been 16 years since 9/11, the pain is still fresh for firefighter Keith McElwain.

More than 20 of his brave brothers from Battalion 57 lost their lives as the towers collapsed. Their bodies were never recovered from the rubble.
