Seacrest out!

The former “American Idol” host — who will man the mic for ABC’s New Year’s Rockin’ Eve Saturday — found himself trapped in an elevator while ascending to the famous Times Square ball on Friday morning.

“We’re trying to get up to the ball in Times Square w/ @GMA (Good Morning America),” he wrote on Twitter, along with a video announcing they were stuck.

Seacrest was with a group heading up for “GMA” when they ended up spending about 40 minutes in the elevator.

The 42-year-old host ultimately made it on the show and detailed his experience.

“If you ever been stuck in an elevator you know it’s funny and cute for the first 10 minutes, but 20 minutes in it’s not so funny anymore,” he said.

“There are only so many Snapchats you can take.”

Seacrest and ABC staffers took the elevator — which is located through a Walgreens — and never made it beyond the first floor.

That same elevator is supposed to be used during Saturday night’s New Year’s Eve ball drop, but Seacrest joked that the stairs might be the better option.

The FDNY eventually came and rescued the group by prying the door ope

FDNY later tweeted about the incident, along with Seacrest’s video, writing,” Nice meeting you @ryanseacrest.”

“We’re securing New Year’s Eve in more ways than one,” the FDNY wrote.
