2 Injured, Including FDNY Firefighter, in House Fire in The Bronx

BAYCHESTER, Bronx (WABC) — Two people were injured, including an FDNY firefighter, in a house fire in the Bronx Sunday morning.

The initial call was received at 7:48 a.m. for the fire at a two-story home on Corsa Avenue in the Baychester section.

The blaze on the home’s second floor was placed under control at 8:28 a.m.

A civilian was critically injured and the firefighter was seriously injured. Both were taken to Jacoby Medical Center.

68 firefighters and 12 fire units responded to the scene.
