Slevin Won’t Seek Full Term As UFA Leader

thechiefleader.com — Uniformed Firefighters Association President James Slevin will not seek a full term in the union’s elections early next year, he said in an Oct. 5 interview. Mr. Slevin, 44, who had been vice president, was chosen by the UFA board last month to fill the vacancy left by 14-year President Steve Cassidy’s sudden announcement that he was quitting to become Executive Director of the newly independent Fire Pension Fund.
