5 Minor Injuries in Sheepshead Bay Fire

NEW YORK — Fire officials say five people suffered minor injuries in an overnight fire in the Sheepshead Bay section of Brooklyn.

A fire department spokesman says the blaze broke out on the first floor of the three-story building at 1:24 a.m. Monday.

The building on Voorhies Avenue houses a business on the first floor and apartments above.

Three firefighters and two civilians suffered minor injuries.

The fire was brought under control at 4:32 a.m.
