Blaze Consumes Staten Island Church, Prompting Massive FDNY Response

A three-alarm blaze gutted a Staten Island church early Wednesday, according to fire officials. The fire was sparked at the House of Miracles church on Delafield Ave. and Elizabeth St. in Port Richmond just after 2 a.m., officials said.

The church burned for over an hour as 138 firefighters battled the blaze.

There were no injuries immediately reported.
