BROOKLYN, N.Y. — A beast of a sinkhole erased a portion of a Brooklyn road Tuesday morning, according to multiple reports.

The city Fire Department and other emergency officials were immediately summoned to the intersection of 5th Avenue and 64th Street in Sunset Park, where the gigantic void prompted traffic issues in Kings County.

Online traffic maps indicate major tie-ups on local streets around the scene, which is about four miles from the Brooklyn side of the Verrazano-Narrows Bridge.

NBC New York described the huge crater as a “monster sinkhole.”

The FDNY also shared images of the huge hole on Twitter.
