Man Found Dead in Staten Island House Set Ablaze, Wife will be Charged with Murder, Says She was ‘Tired’ of His Abuse: Police

An 82-year-old Staten Island man was found bludgeoned in his home Wednesday, and cops say his wife is the killer.

“I was sick and tired of his abuse,” Antoinette Baldassarre told investigators, according to police sources.

The crime unraveled after firefighters raced to the Victory Blvd. home, near Woodstock Ave. in Tompkinsville, just before noon to put out a blaze in the garage.

Searching the house for possible victims, they found Frank Baldassarre dead in the bathtub.

Cops said Baldassarre was the victim of blunt-force trauma. He suffered multiple injuries to his head and body.Frank Baldassarre’s wife will be charged with murder, police said.

Antoinette Baldassarre was found in the garage was rushed to Richmond County University Medical Center.

Paramedics rushed her to Richmond County University Medical Center to be treated for smoke inhalation.

Cops said they determined that Antoinette Baldassarre hit her husband in the head with a crowbar. She then allegedly taped her hands and set the garage on fire to make the murder look like a home invasion gone awry.

Charges against Antoinette Baldassarre were pending
