3 Dead After Early Morning Apartment Fire in Queens

(CBSNewYork) – Three people are dead after an early morning fire at an apartment complex in Queens.

The fire broke out around 4:50 a.m. Tuesday on the sixth floor of a building on Roosevelt Avenue in Flushing.

Fire officials have confirmed that three people died in the fire and said three firefighters were also hurt.

No word yet on what sparked the blaze, but police say they are taking over the investigation.
