The 13th Anniversary of September 11th

 

The FDNY will host or participate in a number of commemorative ceremonies to honor the 343 members lost by the Department on September 11, 2001.

At the National September 11th Memorial Plaza at the WTC Site
On Thursday, September 11, 2014, the City will commemorate the 13th anniversary of the attacks on the World Trade Center. The observance will take place at the National September 11th Memorial Plaza at the WTC Site at Liberty Street and Trinity Place on the morning of September 11th.

Family members of the victims who perished in 2001 at the World Trade Center, the Pentagon, and on Flight 93, as well as the six victims of the 1993 WTC bombing, have been invited to participate in this year’s reading of the names.

At the Firemen’s Monument
On September 11, 2014, at 0930 hours, members of Battalion 18 will host the thirteenth annual Memorial Services at the Firemen’s Monument on Riverside Drive and 100th Street (Upper West Side of Manhattan). All members and their families are invited to attend. A Mass at St. John the Divine will follow at 1215 hours.
