8 People Hurt In Fire – Astoria

ASTORIA — Eight people, including two firefighters, were hurt in a fire that broke out early Tuesday in a two-story building, officials said.

The blaze started at 1:02 a.m. on the second floor of 25-88 41st St., near 28th Avenue, an FDNY spokesman said. It was caused by an unattended candle, according the fire department’s official Twitter account.
